Global Echo is a worldwide printmaking competition between an international group of universities. My chosen print submission is a silkscreen print based upon the work of early typographer and printer Stanley Morison, and is designed to reflect the designs of his early book plates. As the quotation used refers to the use of patterns in typography, the ornamenation is designed using a simple pattern made from the letters ‘S’ and ‘M’ from the Fournier typeface, which the rest of the design is set in.

This poster edition of 10 was one of the editions chosen for entry in the Global Echo 2011 exhibition.
